Pertubations

First and foremost, MAN U WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!! WOOO!! I was watching the ultra exciting match at pop cafe last night, and damn, the match went on to penalty kick-offs. What a loooooong match. I only managed to get back at 12 and had class (or so I thought) at 8am.

Well, apparently that class was cancelled (damn all the french emails that I keep deleting), so I went back to sleep before the next class.

Big transport Pertubation (strike) going on today. The tram to my school is not functioning, so I don't know how people are gonna come to school. I can only hope this is a one day thing because I am going to do weekend grocery shopping tomorrow and I NEED THE TRAM!!!!!!!! TGV paris-lyon line is also not running today.

2 restos closed today, big resto didn't serve entree and the plat was quite crappy. There is a rumour that there won't be dinner tonight. I had 2 classes cancelled, and heard that lots of uni workers (yes, even from insa!) went to protest today. The whole france is on a 36 hour strike.

So what is the issue? The french are pissed off that the gov wants to increase the number of years one has to work before one can draw pension from 40 to 41 years. Teacher striking against plan to cut number of jobs and Illegal workers protesting for work permits.

PLease please please I need the tram tomorrow!!!
