Verona

Our lodgement in Verona turned out to be a ......4 star hotel!!! We had the BEST breakfast there and for 28 euros we had a whole room with our own toilet to ourselves!!! But we had to walk 1km from the busstop to the hotel. -__-

Oh, and most of the bus rides we took in Italy were... free :P We didn't validate our tickets.

Nice building.

We had pizza for dinner. We had to wait half an hour for it, but it was the best pizza I had in Italy. Maybe because this pizza shop was no where near the tourist area.
We bought a Verona card which gave us free transport and free access to all the attractions in Verona.

The Arena in Verona.

I thought the one in Verona was better preserved than that in Rome.

Juliet! We visited Juliet's house (from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet). People touch her boobs for good luck.

Mentions of Verona in Romeo and Juliet:

Two households, both alike in dignity
(In fair Verona, where we lay our scene)
—William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, The Prologue

There is no world without Verona walls,
But purgatory, torture, hell itself.
Hence-banished is banish'd from the world,
And world's exile is death.
—William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, Act III, Scene III

Juliet's Balcony

The river that cuts through Verona.

View from one of Verona's tower.

The love well in Verona, which was incredibly difficult to find because it was tucked behind some residential houses. People leave locks there.

Last but not least... Juliet's Tomb.
