Roma!

Rome! Yea, Rome wasn't built in a day.

We were eating Italian food everyday, and honestly, I don't think Italian pasta tastes any different in Italy than in anywhere else. The pizzas are better, though.

We visited Vatican City, the smallest state in the world! (No I didn't have to get my passport chopped there, har har). We visited the Vatican museum, a must-see in Rome. And, yes! I saw the 4 Raphael rooms!!! In fact I spent quite a long time in the Raphael rooms just admiring and taking in the paintings. It was a wonderful feeling.

And of course, the famous God creates Adam by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel! Very very very gorgeous. I spent lots of time in that room too just to admire all the paintings there. It was really really crowded and the guard was being irritating, asking people to shut up and stop taking photos.

Vatican church.

The Vatican Walls.

Vatican guards.

The statues atop the church.

I have been to many duomos and Notre Dames, but I have to say the Vatican tops it all. All my pictures taken in the church doesn't do the interior of the church justice, but it was HUGE, with tall marble pillars, marble flooring.

Trevi fountain! We threw a coin over our shoulder into the fountain to ensure our return back to Rome. I was telling Fengxue perhaps we could come back together to Rome in 20 years time; by then we won't have to eat lousy food and stay in cheap youth hostels where we have to share 2 toilets with 30 people.

Erm, another drawing of Fengxue.:P

CHINESE FOOD! It was the cheapest and most decent food in Rome, seriously. The chopsticks have instructions on how to use chopsticks, so funny.

Drawing I did of a very nice statue of an angel I saw on the roadside.

SPQR on the roadcovers. Stands for the latin slogan "Senātus Populusque Rōmānus".

We visited the Colossium on our day of departure. I have to admit the one in Verona was better preserved and more impressive for me.

The opening of this magnific colossium was inaugurated by Titus. HAHA!

Ok we also visited the ancient ruins of Rome but i am lazy to post pictures.:)
