milano!

Ok, admittedly, there is nothing much to see in Milan. But the clothes there are fantastic and not too expensive. In other words, it IS really a fashion capital.

We took an overnight bus out of Lyon on 11th April night and reached Milan at 6am in the morning. The bus was filled with noisy boy scouts who seemed amused at playing peek a boo at us (which wasn't very amusing at 2am when you need to sleep badly) so we didn't sleep much.

Congregation of pigeons. Europe is FILLED with these birds. There are some trickers will try to put bird seeds on your hands and after the birds have eaten the seeds, they will tell you to pay for it. We were warned about this before we went so we didn't fall for it.

One of the very few attractions- the Duomo.

We paid to go up and gawk at the world's largest number of marble statues atop a church.

Heh. Milanese have 2000 statues constantly watching over their every move from the top of the duomo.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, reputed to be the world's oldest shopping mall.

The inside.

And, voila, LV.

We also checked out the rich man quarter. Its said to be a good place to people watch, but we went there too early, so all the supermodels and rich people were probably sleeping.

The whole place was filled with branded-goods shops. Yea, name it and you'll find it there. It was really exciting to see them all in one tiny street.

miumiu.

Burberry, my fav. We didn't go into any stores though. Too poor. And there were so many D&Gs. There would be one D&G or macdonalds in every few streets.

We had dinner with a German dude working in Swiss for an american company (PwC) that we met while we were trying to find our hostel.

We also wanted to go to see the last supper painting by Leonardo Da Vinci, but you have to make a reservation to go to the museum, and you have to do so at least one week in advance. So... no reservation = no see.

One very important thing to do if you want to visit museums in Italy is to make a reservation, else you either don't get to see it, or wait at least 2 hours to get in (which we did in Florence).

Horse Statue done by Leonardo Da Vinci.

AC and Inter milan football stadium. Looked quite run down from the outside.

We managed to act like lost tourists and sneaked into the horse race course to see the horses training. :P

Dog with low center of gravity.

So... as you can see, milan is mostly a shopping paradise.
