On the first day I arrived in Lyon, I met a woman on the bus to Part dieu from the airport. She was the first person living in Lyon I talked to, and she told me to go to Annecy.
So, I went to Annecy with Oscar, Rosa (students from Taiwan) and Cheekeat on Thursday. I waited until the last few days of my stay here to go to Annecy, not on purpose, but coz I didn't have time to do so.
We had a picnic lunch on a shady grasspatch beside the lake.
Cheekeat and I.
Rosa and I. Annecy has a nice big lake surrounded by mountains.
We rented a motor boat. Wasn't too expensive because there were 4 of us to split the cost (43 euros per hour). All four of us are mechanical engineering students, so we were joking that we could repair the boat if it failed halfway.
The guy who rents the boat out giving Oscar instructions on how to drive the boat. Sounded really complicated.

The river water was really very clean, and it wasn't salty.
Oscar.
Getting a horrible tan.
Giving my toes a tan.
We took turns driving the boat. I'm better with driving a boat than a car.:)
4 of us.
Mountains.
After the one hour boat ride, we went to walk around the Vieux Ville (old town) of annecy.
Looked a bit like Venice, but with less touristic shops and less people.
I bought escargots from a random shop. Fantastic stuff!
We visited the Chateaux d'Annecy, but it was.... bof. Nothing special. Pas grands choses.
More venice-lookalike-shots.
Look! A dam!
After we came back to Lyon, I went over to Cheekeat's place to cook dinner and to watch the Spain-Russia match.
We had a Malaysian-Singaporean meal.
