random

I spent my CNY day 2:
- doing module mapping again .in the end i decided to stick with the modules I planned to take before I came. The other ME dudes (ben and yuvraj) changed their department to GMD instead. So I'm the lone ranger in GMC.

- Studying for french test. That was the first time I studied ever since I came here. There was a post exam party going on at Kfet (which is opposite my block) and it was quite noisy.

- doing grocery shopping to cook for this weekend. I'll be cooking chicken noodles, chicken porridge and ginger chicken. Why all chicken? Because I don't know how to cook beef/pork YET and because fish is very expensive, though easier to cook. I realized it is essential to decide on the menu for the weekend BEFORE I do grocery shopping instead of while I am doing grocery shopping.

Today is the last day of my french intensive course, and in 2 days time, it'll be officially 1 month since I have been here. Hmmm it seems like yesterday when I arrived.:) My french has improved tremendously, and the french are usually quite impressed that I can speak... the way I do given the amount of french education I've received. =D

Pictures I took over the week:

Seen at the computer lab. I don't understand the last picture.
I tried to print some dossiers at the lab today and I don't know why my PDF and words files couldn't open. BAH!

This is not a dustbin. It's a special bin for you to stub your cigs. I thought it was a dustbin and threw my empty orange juice box in. My american friend threw her chewing gum in.

I've never seen a bird so fat in my life. Stuff toys don't count.

My mexican classmate. His shirt was funny.

This is one of the VIPs of Insa: the drunk postman Nana, randomly talking to some students.

Other VIPs in Insa:
Michelle: The fierce woman in the canteen who told an exchange student "In france, we say BON SOIR!" because the student didn't greet her.
I-forgot-his-name: A server in the other canteen who screams alot. He was screaming "At the start of the sem, there were 160 spoons, now there are only 60! WHy you guys steal the spoons?!" LOL.
I didn't steal the spoons btw. I only borrowed a cup, which I will probably return at the end of the sem.
